About The Sports Academy

CUSA is registered as a Sports Association and Academy in line with the laws of the State of Cameroon and status of the Cameroon Football Federation and other federations. The Academy is governed by a Board of Directors made up of both Executives and Non-executive Directors and managed by the President of CUIB.

The decisions of the Board of Directors are implemented by management through an Administrative Officer. The academy owns its own administration and training facilities which are under development.

CUSA was formed in 2014 by the President of the Catholic University Institute of Buea, Rev. Fr. George Nkeze. The slogan, “Engaging Students for Success”. The unique outlook and moral qualities of CUSA immediately drew the attention of young talents from Buea and its environs.

The facility originally located at the Cathedral field is able to accommodate only football, while the Buea Municipal Complex hosts the other sports disciplines.
Today some of these disciplines like football have over eighty youths in all categories with a youth development staff made up of seasoned trainers.

In 2014-2015, the Academy had registered over 80 youths in all categories. The senior team emerged as champions of the Fako league 2015 thus qualifying for the regional league of the South West for the 2016 football season.
The under 17 team has just qualified for the Fako Zonal Youth Championship
The under 15 were runners up for qualification into the Fako U17 youth championship
